Institute for Asian Crime and Security Covid-19 Project: 2020 IACS Charity Activities Report

May 28, 2021•  .   . Listen

The Institute for Asian Crime and Security (IACS) is a nonprofit organization and think tank that promotes safety and security by assisting leaders, organizational groups, communities, first responders’ agencies, and governments in solving critical issues. To promote transnational security and safety, the IACS aims to conduct global research & local fieldwork. In local fieldwork, the IACS coordinates volunteers in local communities to support first responders, medical workers, and vulnerable groups of people (elderly, women, and children) impacted by transnational threats.  The IACS cares about first responders and vulnerable groups of people in communities, and therefore volunteering is an integral part of the association.

Last year in 2020, the IACS has acted fast since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and called for donations and volunteers. As a result, the IACS has coordinated over a hundred volunteers and donors joining this charity project named the “IACS Covid-19 project.” In addition, the IACS has donated various PPEs for first responders and vulnerable groups of people, including health care workers (hospitals and urgent cares), nursing homes, school district, homeless shelters (single mother with children, all men), and law enforcement officers (police, fire, corrections, and emergency management officers).

The table below shows the dates and agencies that the IACS staff and volunteers who have completed the donations. The duration of the list is from March 20, 2020, to December 31, 2020. If you have any queries, please contact: inquiry.iacs@gmail.com
