The Institute for Asian Crime and Security (IACS) is now included in the Civil Society database of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA). It has also been approved to access the Civil Society Organization (CSO) Net event registration system and register for various United Nations conferences and meetings, subject to accreditation.

We are gratified that the IACS has been included in the DESA’s Civil Society database. Our next goal is to receive consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council. Being recognized by the UN will help us in our efforts to improve the welfare of vulnerable groups, including women, children, and the elderly, and to help current and future leaders deal with transnational threats.
